Domestic bourses rose in choppy trade, backed by gains in oil and IT stocks. In early trade, Indices opened flat and hit fresh intraday low. Though indices bounced back but in early afternoon trade trimmed gains and turned to be range bound throughout the session. The health of the market i.e. Market breadth was positive. The Nifty 50 gained 42.60 points and settled at 10699.90. Pharma and IT sector were the major gainers and PSU banks and metal sector were the major losers of the day.

Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher. At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.54%.
