In a volatile session of trade, key benchmark indices logged small gains as gains triggered by strong global cues were almost offset by lower-than-expected GDP data. Local stocks opened on a firm note tracking upbeat Asian stocks. Volatility struck bourses in mid-afternoon trade as the key indices once again regained positive zone. Stocks hovered in positive zone in late trade.
The Nifty 50 gained 7 points and settled the day at 10883.75. Realty sector were the major gainer and Pharma sector were the major loser of the day.

Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Optoelectronic, Electronic Parts/Components and Semiconductor sectors led shares higher. The Taiwan Weighted added 2.53% to hit a new 1-month high.
