Japan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Manufacturing, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Paper & Pulp sectors led shares lower. The Nikkei 225 fell 0.59%.

China stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher. The Shanghai Composite added 1.30% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SZSE Component index unchanged 0%.

Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Computers & Peripherals, Textile and Cement sectors led shares higher. The Taiwan Weighted rose 0.01%.
