The benchmark indices surged higher for the third consecutive trade session on account of positive news flow form global front on UK’s election result and trade deal hopes between China and US. Nifty settled higher at 12142.35. All sectoral index ended the last trading session of the week in green with PSU Banks shares were the major gainers of the day.

PG&E Corp has filed for an amended reorganization plan, adding that it remains on track to getting the plan confirmed before a June 2020 deadline to exit bankruptcy. European stocks surged on a combination of the U.K. election result, signs of an imminent trade deal between the U.S. and China, and the Federal Reserve’s plans to prevent a repeat of the year-end volatility seen in 2018. Euro Stoxx 600 index was up 1.4%.

UCO Bank shares climbed 12 per cent today riding on the back of higher other income and growth in core income in the September quarterly earnings. The stock gained 12% to Rs 18 in early trades. The stock of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company gained 3.3 per cent with above average volume on Thursday, resuming the medium-term uptrend. It has been in a medium-term uptrend since it took support at ₹245 in a late July this year.

Larsen & Toubro Infotech shares rose 1 per cent in early trading session on the bourses today after the company informed the NSE taht it has won has won a multi-year engagement with Swedish financial services company, Hoist Finance AB to manage its IT Operations.

Kotak Mahindra Investments Ltd has offloaded a 5.54 per cent stake in Speciality Restaurants, which owns and runs restaurant chains like Oh! Calcutta, Mainland China, Asia Kitchen by Mainland China, Café Mezzuna and Hoppipola.

 Japan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Paper & Pulp, Railway & Bus and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.The Nikkei 225 added 2.55% to hit a new 52-week high. Australia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the IT, Financials and Resources sectors led shares higher.The S&P/ASX 200 added 0.46%. China’s Shanghai Composite and the SZSE Component both advanced 1.2%.Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index surged 2.0%
