Key benchmark indices dropped sharply on last trading of the week on weak global stocks.Trading for the day began on a weak note as the key benchmark indices drifted lower in early trade as most Asian stocks fell. Stocks extended fall in mid-afternoon trade.Fresh selling in index pivotals dragged the key benchmark indices to intraday low in late trade. The Nifty 50 lost 94.90 points and settled the day at 10030. All the sectorial indices closed on negative note. Among them, IT and Private Bank sector were the major loser of the day.

Shares of Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific Airways Limited Airways fell 2.15% to HK$10 on Friday morning after a slide of almost 7% to a nine-year low in the previous session. European shares crumbled on Friday, tracking a decline in U.S. stock futures after tech stocks Alphabet and Amazon missed results expectations, further sapping risk appetite as European earnings also disappointed with Valeo harshly punished.

China stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Life Insurance, Travel & Leisure and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower. The Shanghai Composite fell 0.19%, while the SZSE Component index lost 0.33%.
Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the, Biotech & Medical Care and Oil, Gas & Electricity sectors led shares lower. The Taiwan Weighted lost 0.33% to hit a new 52-week low.
