Domestic key indices logged sharp losses led by slide in index heavyweights ITC, ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever. Trading for the week began on positive note as key indices edged higher boosted by good first-quarter GDP data. However, Stocks trimmed gains in mid-morning trade after data showed that manufacturing PMI has slowed in August. A sell-off gripped bourses in late trade. The Nifty 50 lost 98.15 points and settled the session at 11582.35. FMCG sector were the major loser and Media sector were the major gainer of the day.

Global Markets
European shares were little changed on Monday as worries about U.S. trade policy and concern over emerging markets weighed on stocks after Asian markets closed lower. The STOXX 600 was up 0.02%. Starbucks Corp will have a new partner in New Zealand after the license holder said it will not renew its two-decade-old deal in a region.

Larsen & Toubro(L&T) share prices rose 1.2% after the company released the information that its construction arm, has won orders worth Rs 2654 crore across various business segments.
Wipro came in limelight after the company enunciated that it has won a 10-year engagement to provide a comprehensive suite of solutions and services to Lincolnshire, Illinois-based Alight Solutions LLC.
Graphite India through its wholly owned subsidiary in Netherlands, Graphite International BV has signed a definitive agreement for investment up to US$ 18.6 million in cash in General Graphene Corporation (General Graphene).
Ashok leyland share prices jumped 3.33% after the company released the data of total sales which rose 27% to 17,386 units in August 2018 over August 2017. Sales of light commercial vehicles jumped 38% and sales of medium & heavy commercial vehicles rose 24% in August 2018 over August 2017.
Tata Communications has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and used the platform of HackerEarth, to launch a 3-month long hackathon, called, ‘The Grand India IoT Innovation Challenge.

Global Markets
Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Property, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower. The PSEi Composite lost 0.30%.
Japan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Shipbuilding, Finance & Investment and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower. The Nikkei 225 declined 0.59%.
Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the, Electronic Parts/Components and Cement sectors led shares lower. The Taiwan Weighted declined 0.90%.
