Domestic key benchmark indices ended with modest losses, dragged by weakness in Reliance Industries, Tata Motors and ITC, as investors remained on the sidelines ahead of corporate results and weakening global cues. Domestic shares also resumed their downtrend after a brief pause from the selloff that was seen on Monday.
The Nifty 50 lost 47 points and settled the day at 10301.05. Media and pharma sector were the major gainers and Auto and FMCG sector were the major losers of the day

The French multinational bank will deploy Duco’s platform as one of its key primary reconciliation and data control systems. European shares steadied in early trading on Tuesday as Chinese equities stabilised after a heavy sell off and immediate worries over a Stan off between Rome and Brussels over Italy’s spending plans appeared to ease.

Coal India and NLC India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for formation of joint venture (JV) company for solar power generation of 3,000 MW and thermal power projects of 2,000 MW capacity.
Maruti Suzuki India has flagged off proto-type Electric Vehicles for field test from the Company’s Gurugram facility. The Electric Vehicles have been developed exclusively by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and built at Maruti Suzuki, Gurugram facility.
Tata motors share prices plunged 13% after JLR reported 12% lower retails, 2% lower wholesales in September 2018. It also plans to temporarily shut down production at its Solihull (England) plant due to weak demand.
Share prices of Sadbhav Infrastructure were trading 3% higher as its subsidiary Nagpur Seoni Express Way Limited (NSEL) won an arbitration award against NHAI.
JMC Projects (India), a leading Civil Engineering and EPC Company, has secured new orders of Rs514cr. It includes two orders totalling Rs236cr for construction of educational institutes in Andhra Pradesh.

Global Markets
Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher. The PSEi Composite rose 0.12%.
Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Trading & Consumer Goods, Oil, Gas & Electricity and Textile sectors propelled shares higher. The Taiwan Weighted rose 0.10%.
Japan equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Electrical/Machinery, Chemical and Mining sectors propelled shares lower. The Nikkei 225 fell 1.34%.
