Key equity benchmarks logged strong gains on steady buying demand in index pivotals. Domestic stocks drifted higer in early trade on bargain hunting after three-day fall.Volatility ruled the roost in afternoon trade as the key benchmark indices regained strength soon after trimming intraday gains. Indices were trading on a firm note in mid-afternoon trade. Stocks extended gains in late trade to hit intraday high. The Nifty 50 gained 92.55 points and settled the day at 10693.70. Private Banks were major gainer and Metal sector were the major loser of the day.
Global Markets
Nissan Motor Co will recall 150,000 more vehicles in Japan due to improper final inspections before they were shipped from two Japanese manufacturing plants. European shares recovered on Friday from its losses during the previous session’s global selloff, but lacked thrust from Wall Street and Asian markets.The euro zone’s STOXX index was up 1.2% after falling 3.2% during Thursday’s rout.

Kotak Mahindra Bank share prices surged 8.93% after Media reports suggested that Warren Buffet promoted Berkshire Hathaway is looking to buy a 10% stake in the private sector lender.

Global Markets
Japan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Marine Transport and Services sectors led shares higher. The Nikkei 225 added 0.82%.
China stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Gas, Water & Multiutilities, Utilities and Electricity sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil Equipment Services & Distribution, Retailers and Banking sectors led shares lower. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.03%, while the SZSE Component index fell 0.01%.
Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil, Gas & Electricity, Glass and Hotels sectors led shares higher. The Taiwan Weighted rose 0.79%.
