Tips for Trading in Indian Stock Market

Domestic key benchmark indices extended recent slump as blue chip stocks came under heavy selling pressure. Moreover, falling rupee and surging crude prices put pressure on shares. Market participants were cautious ahead of the outcome of Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s three-day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting tomorrow, 5 October 2018.
The Nifty 50 lost 259 points and settled the day at 10599.25.All sectorial indices closed on negative note, among them Pharma and IT were the major losers of the day.

Global Markets
European shares fell on Thursday as defensive stocks came under pressure after strong U.S. data lifted global yields and bolstered expectations for rate hikes in the world’s biggest economy. Honda Motor Co Ltd will invest $2.75 billion and take a 5.7 percent stake in General Motors Co’s Cruise self-driving vehicle unit.

Stock Snippets
TVS Motor Company share prices dropped 1.92%. The company has further invested a sum of Rs 30 crore in the equity capital of TVS Credit Services, a subsidiary company (TVSCS).
Amara Raja Batteries and Johnson Controls, Inc. have signed a technology collaboration agreement to bring a new wave of battery technologies to India.
Bharti Airtel informed that Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) B.V. has issued a notice of Repayment and Offer to Tender for redemption of the outstanding 4% EUR 1,000 Notes Due 2018 guaranteed by Bharti Airtel (EURO 2018 Notes/Note).
TCS announced signing of a MOU with University of Tokyo. The purpose of the MOU is to collaborate on technology research and facilitate interpersonal exchange.
Share prices of Bank of Maharashtra were trading 2% down after media reports said that the bank has closed its 51 branches to cut down costs.
ICICI Bank share prices rose 3.9% after the company informed that board accepted the request of Chanda Kochhar to seek early retirement from the bank at the earliest.

Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Property, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors led shares lower.The PSEi Composite lost 1.63% to hit a new 3-months low.
Japan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Shipbuilding, Automobiles & Parts and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.The Nikkei 225 fell 0.61%.
Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Trading & Consumer Goods and Semiconductor sectors led shares lower.The Taiwan Weighted lost 1.33% to hit a new 1-month low.
