Markets started the week with a bang and continued the positive market breadth throughout the session and closed strong in green with gains of approx 1.8%.
Weak Jobs data so released on Friday came less than expectations and it indicated dampened prospects in rate hike by Fed Reserve in the next month. This helped in Rupee appreciation which further aided the sentiments while European markets too helped the markets to move northwards. Banking and Financials, Media lead the indices ranking and no any sectors fell into the red for the day.

European stock markets steadied buoyed by some solid corporate earnings by firms including B European stocks bounced back from a one-month lows on Monday, as rising oil prices lent support to the energy sector. Investors also focused on the extraordinary Eurogroup meeting where finance ministers will gather to discuss Greece’s bailout review.
